m a t g r a y v e s pretty boy, ugly world. As he bolted up the stairs, he heard his mom cough in the room down the hall. Darting into his own room, he shut the door silently and turned the light on. Hiding a hiss, Mat quickly reached for the small black dufflebag on the ground and threw in some things like boxers wife-beaters and some socks. He tossed in a journal like thing and then scanned the room quickly for anything else. His floor was clean due to the fact that his mom had purged his room when he was gone to clean it. Knowing that he had nothing else to bring down other then the clothes in the laundry room, he saluted his room and shut the light off before walking back down, the bag bumping against his leg gently.
"Casey?"
Mat whispered, totally forgetting about her previous comment that she had made outside of his place. He looked in the laundry room to find her perched on the washing machine. He grinned and shut the door, then looked out the side door. They could probably hop the gate and bolt for it. He reached for the jeans and shirts that he had on the dry and just tossed them in, not caring if they hung out of the side of the bag or not. Easily grabbing atleast half of the clothes there, he finished packing and then grinned at her.
"Ready to go for real? That shirt looks fantasical on you, by the way."
Mat said, winking and then laughing softly.

Trying hard to resist the temptation to swing her legs and knock her feet into the metal of the washer, she knocked her feet together once before temptation began to get stronger. Instead of risking succumbing to temptation, she drew her legs up, crossing them on top of the washer. When in doubt, remove temptation completely. Or something retarded like that. Hearing muffled foot steps from the other side of the door, she jumped a little as he whispered her name, almost expecting it to be someone else, like his parents or something. What if it was all an act, and everyone knew she'd killed her father already, and they were just luring her into the laundry room so they could capture her?
She shook her head ever so slightly at the thought, Mat wouldn't do that to her. Besides, nobody knew. It wasn't possible for someone to know, the guy had been dead for only a few hours now, they couldn't know. As Mat plodded into the laundry room carrying the duffel bag and grinning, she relaxed visibly. Nobody knew, she could stop being so paranoid about the possibility of someone knowing. For now anyway. Watching him pack, she grinned at the messy and unorganized way he went about it. She nodded in response to his question, sliding off the washing machine. Before going anywhere though, she mashed his clothing down into the bag, zipping it shut so nothing would fall out as they embarked on their adventure. "Fantastical... Mat, that's my word,"

m a t g r a y v e s pretty boy, ugly world. "Fantastical... Mat, that's my word,"
"We can share it,"
Mat replied, grinning slightly as he watched her mash his stuff into his bag. He felt bad that Casey didnt have anything else with her but what could you do if you found yourself in an alley with noting but the clothes on your back? Mat shook his head slightly then flicked the laundry room light off and made his way out into the hallway. He found his shoes and shoved them on, not caring that they werent on properly. He slung the strap over his shoulder again and made his way to the door. Opening it, he allowed Casey to walk out first before he shut it and locked it with the key. Grinning at Casey, he held the key in his hand.
"Should we keep it? Just so we can go back and fuck the house up when they're sleeping?"
He asked, sounding as if he had wanted to do this for a long time.
"Maybe we should toss it, because they have enough keys, right?"

"You can't just share a word, that'd be like... Sharing a pair of underwear, it's way too personal and not so cool," she said with a grin, coming up with the first thing to come to mind. She was hoping Riley hadn't been joking around about what one could get a hold of at the hide out. If she couldn't get a couple changes of clothes, she'd either be living out of Mat's bag, or she'd smell as bad as those hobos that came up and asked you for spare change on the street. Though, she could see herself stealing articles of clothing from Mat's bag regardless of what she got or didn't get at the hide out.
Spotting a hoodie that she was positive was hers, she snatched it off a shelf and tied it around her waist just as Mat flicked the light off. Following in the direction of the hall, she hoped she wouldn't bump into anything. Stepping into her shoes, her feet slid easily into them- she never bothered to tie her shoes tightly. As she padded outside, she glanced up at the window that had had the light on. It was still on. "Toss it. If we come back and fuck up the house and they realize the doors and windows weren't forced, they'll automatically know if was you, and they'll make more of an effort to find you. We'll come back and fuck up the house, but we'll do it properly by breaking in in the middle of the night when they're not home and totally DESTROYING the house," she assured him, tightening the sweater around her waist.

m a t g r a y v e s pretty boy, ugly world. "Alright, alright. Whatever you say, lady."
Mat said softly, grinning at Casey even though he was pretty sure that she couldnt see him. He managed to get his bag and shoes on, before he walked out the door and into the front, before he finally made it to where he wanted to go. As her tossed the keys high into the air and caughbt them again, he caught her comment about them knowing it was him Mat nodded and looked at her, catching her eye.
"I guess your right,"
And with that he tossed the keys waaay far over to the right of the duo. He grinned back at Casey and looked over ahead of them.
"High ho Silver, away!"
He cried quietly, or as quietly as Mat Grayves could be. Grinning again he beckoned for her, ready to start walking.

Casey snorted indignantly as he called her a lady. "Lady? Hey now, them's fightin' words," she said softly, though you could tell by her tone that she wanted badly to be able to shout. Casey was rarely a quiet child, and the fact that she'd been forced to remain quiet for the past while was beginning to get to her. So was the fact that everything seemed to hurt any time she moved. Her gaze followed the keys as he tossed them away. She had been expecting him to abandon the keys later on, but whatever floated his boat she supposed.
By chucking them here, that just made it easier for someone else to find them and turn them in, which meant that when they came back months later and trashed the place, they'd be even less of a suspect. After all, one can't have access to a house if they run off and their keys turn up a week or so later. Unless of course said someone got a copy made of the key, but really, where did either of them have the money to get a copy of the key made in the middle of the night?
At his cry, the temptation to jump on his back and repeat his statement was strong, though subsided fast. First of all, jumping onto anything would hurt a lot more than anything else, and second of all, her shout would probably be a lot louder than his, and then they would HAVE to high-ho-silver-away and get the fuck outta there. Yawning quietly, she followed him, glancing back at the house before looking at him again. "So which way do we go?"

m a t g r a y v e s pretty boy, ugly world. Mat looked around, then looked back at Casey. Which way was it again? Oh yeah. Mat pointed as he continued to walk, not once looking back at the house he left. But he did look back at Casey. Pointing to his left he turned his body, and continued to walk.
"This way,"
Mat said almost confidently. He hiked the strap up higher on his shoulder before he looked back at the girl he had a crush on. Haha.. crushes. The figment of affection that everyone fell under. Matt looked away and just barley missed walking into a tree just off to the right of the sidewalk.
"Haha... I.. nearly walked into a tree..."
Mat said, embarrased that he could be so clumsy infront of her.

Casey couldn't help but grin in the dark at his pointing and walking and turning. He sounded quite confident that it was in fact 'this way', but at the same time, he didn't act as though he was one hundred percent sure exactly what direction they were to be going in. If worse came to worse, they could probably spend the night hiding out and try again during daylight. Places were always easier to get to during the day. Noticing that he kept having to look back at her, she upped her pace a little, slowing down once she was even with him as she fell into step beside him.
Spotting the tree coming, she didn't say anything, wanting to see just how close he would come to walking into it. It wasn't that she was a horrible friend or anything, it was just a matter of curiosity. She giggled a little louder than normal as he swerved abruptly one way to avoid walking into the tree at the last moment. Her giggling continued as he commented on his near collision with said tree. "Whatcha almost walking into trees for?" she questioned jokingly, aware that he hadn't done it on purpose, but finding it necessary to bug him about it. He wasn't usually this clumsy.

m a t g r a y v e s pretty boy, ugly world. "I didnt mean to..."
Mat defended himself quickly, the blush fading as he grinned again. He continued to walk in the way he had pointed eariler, moving the bag up slightly before he stopped and turned around, that confident smirk on his face gone. He didnt remember this area. Well, maybe he did; they just have to go further. Hesitantly, Mat grinned weakly before looking back at the area they were going in.
"So... you've never been to the Hideout before?"
Mat asked, before nodding to himself. He remembered this way now; the guy had walked this way before he turned...right? Mat looked back at Casey, still walking.

"That's what they all say, Mat," she muttered under her breath, not necessarily loud enough for him to hear her unless he was really trying to. Walking beside him, she was silently hoping he did in fact know the way to The Hideout. He seemed to know where he was going, until he stopped and turned around. She almost walked into him, bringing herself to a skidding stop about an inch and a half away from him. The first thing she noticed after noticing that he was in her bubble of space, was the lack of confident smirk on his face.
Stepping back, she half grinned, following his gaze around the area. "No. A friend wanted me to go earlier today... Or maybe it was yesterday, but I decided not to," she said, sounding ever so slightly puzzled as to why she'd made the sudden decision to move to the Hideout. It was an act of course, she knew EXACTLY why she wasn't going back home. Dead men couldn't hurt you, but they did stink up a storm, and their presence was generally creepy. "Aside from following that guy around, have you been there before?"

"No. A friend wanted me to go earlier today... Or maybe it was yesterday, but I decided not to,"
"But I come out of the blue and ask you if you want to go, and you accept? Picking favourites are we, Casey?"
Mat teased, not catching her previous comment. He was determinded to get there tonight, not tomorrow or this morning. Mt didnt have a watch so he didnt know what time it was. But as he remembered a familiar path he grinned and continued to walk, happy that he could finally get away and be his own person, with Casey by his side. Thinking about "living" with Casey made a warm feeling spread through his chest.
"Aside from following that guy around, have you been there before?"
"Nope. Heard of it many times though."
Mat admitted, nodding as he then picked up his pace and spotted a man made path just a few feet infront of them. There was a darker shape just of to the right of the long path; was it the Hideout?

"Not out of the blue, out of a dark and just slightly ominous alleyway that is much cooler than blue," she corrected, not correcting him on questioning her for picking favourites. Riley was great, but she couldn't ignore that feeling she'd get towards Mat every now and again, that feeling of more than friendship. Besides, Mat had had better timing than Riley had- if she'd shown up in the alleyway after Casey had killed her father, she would have gone to The Hideout. She yawned quietly, glancing down at her watch to see that it was well past three in the morning. Despite the fact that she was tired, Mat seemed determined to get to The Hideout tonight.
"Seems like everyone's heard of it. I wonder how many adults know about it," she commented, glancing up ahead to see the beaten path just a little ways ahead. Either it was a path leading to nowhere where people frequented to do drug deals or something of the sort, or it was the path that led to the Hideout. Though, it seemed like a stupid idea to have an obvious path leading to a place you wanted to try and keep a secret. Searching up ahead, her gaze fell on a large, dark shape. "Is that it?"
