The first night the Isabella Swan met Edward, she had the slight impression that he hated her. A lot. When really it was just she made his control weaker and she was the only exception to his power of reading minds. After a while, Isabella was saved by Edward when a van careened out of control and nearly hit her- if it hadn't been for Edward to stop it with his bare hand, indenting the door. That was when Bella knew that Edward was different- much different than just your average gorgeous guy.

Not soon afterward, Edward confessed his family's dark secret. And suddenly, Bella was engulfed in an ancient web, a web of which contained three main factors; vampires, werewolves, and herself. On the vampires, she was in love with Edward, no doubt about it, and Edward simply felt the same way. On the werewolves side, her best friend, Jacob Black, was in love with her and she felt a deep compassion for him. And, of course, there was always herself- the clutzy human in love with a dangerous vampire and caught between an ancient fued older than time itself.

And then there came the fourth factor. The Volturi. The royal family of all vampires, the Volturi resided in Italy. When Edward thought that Bella had died, he went to the Volturi and asked them to kill him. Long story short, he sparked their interest and now they've demanded that Bella be changed into a human. That, or she be killed. Now, Edward was always opposed to Bella being a vampire, though she was quite eager at the idea. Now he had no choice.

Now, before Edward and Bella had even gotten married and Bella changed into a vampire, Aro, Caius, and Marcus Volturi all mysteriously disapeared. Where had they gone? And why were they gone? Now that they were gone, all were too scared to step up to the plate and take charge of the Volturi. Until little Jane- the youngest looking out of all the Volturi- claimed the coven as her own. Jane has no patience for the Cullens, and is ready to kill Bella within moments if she doesn't become a vampire soon.

And what about the Cullens? What's happening with their secluded, inside life? Jasper becomes the weaker link when he changes a young girl, who now is too frightened of herself to leave the Cullens' house.

So what will happen next?
Who will snap first? The Cullens or the Volturi?
And will Jacob leave Bella be, or will he forever keep her in his mind?

Based on the wonderful series by Stephenie Meyer, Era of the Vampires is an intermediate-advanced roleplay where you can be a character from a book, or make up your own character. There are plenty of canon characters open, along with some staff positions that need to be filled!
