JAY HETHMONT ! Jay yawned behind his hand. It was roughly 7 in the morning, a weird time for the sixteen year old to be awake at. But he was out scouting. Scouting for possible newbies to the Hideout. Although, really, Jay didnt need to be. Like him, many of the kids that found the Hideout had heard of it through one of the resident Hideout kids. Jay had been responsible for luring kids in; he looked very trusting. Hah, trusting. A word he disliked a little more every time he heard it.
The sixteen year old disliked being the scout. He disliked leading kids away from their families, but hey, if the owners wanted more kids, then they'll get more kids. It was a wonder how they paid for the food and the clothes they found, but then again, Jay knew everything came from somewhere. A chill sped down his spine as he thought about it.
Kicking a stone around, Jay looked around, hoping at someone would atleast wander by. He hated being alone; it was something that bothered him.

"Last time I'm sleeping in a tube slide." The girl muttered to herself, sliding out of the thing on the far side of the park. Her pack and her guitar case slid out after her. It had rained a little in the middle of the night, so shelter was a must to find. When Heather Montgomery stood up and stretched, she could hear the cracking of her spine and collar bone, obviously cranky at her for the night she spent curled up inside of a covered slide. She took off the black plastic frame glasses she wore in order to see and wiped the smudges from the rain off of them. Then, digging through her bag, she got out a stick of gum, knowing very well that she had nowhere to brush her teeth at the moment.
Heather shook the long, curly mess of brown hair out of her eyes, and picked up her guitar case and back pack. Sure, she had run away. It wasn't like her parents would notice that she was gone just yet. She was going to head for the woods that morning, looking for somewhere that she had only heard tell of. To her knowledge, it was called 'The Hideout'. A place where you could run away and stay away. Problem was, that she had no idea how to get there, and figured that she would happen upon it at any given time, all she had to do was ignore that fact that she was looking for it. If she wasn't on the lookout for the Hideout, it would probably pop up under her nose. But who knew, the place was probably in the middle of nowhere, and Heather knew noone who lived there or knew its location.
The girl stretched once more as she made her way around the slide and into the main part of the park. She yawned slightly, and noticed someone else. A boy, who was just..Standing around. Odd. The pierced eyebrow of the girl shot up, and her sarcastic smirk, which was usually permanent on her face, twisted into a look of confusion. She supposed she may aswell just walk by the fellow. Sure, he looked kind of nice, but she knew better..

JAY HETHMONT ! Jay looked around again, feeling a little disappointed when the usual teen wasnt slinking around. He stuffed his hands into his pockets and went to walk off, before he heard someone come down the slide. What? When did people get there? Jay turned around and didnt see anyone. Raising an eyebrow, he chose to continue standing there, unsure of how else to bring himself up to the fact that he was going to lead a complete stranger into a world where they'd be better off at home. He stood there for a few moments, before a girl came around the other side.
'Great, time's a tickin',' Jay thought sarcastically to himself as he then made his way over to the girl, who had spotted him and decided that staring was a nice option for herself. Walking over to her, he took his hands out of his pockets and reached on out for a handshake for the girl.
"Hello, Im Jay." He said, introducing himself to her.

Heather's eyes narrowed as if in thought. She watched the boy approach her, finding this whole scenario in itself more odd than most things that would have ever happened to her. She looked down at his hand as he extended it to her, giving his name. That sarcastic smirk found its way back to Heather's face as she reached out her own hand and grasping Jay's firmly. "Heather." She said simply, not continuing. If this Jay character wanted to ask her something or give her any valuable information pertaining to where she was headed, then she would most likely stop and listen. There was just one thing about him that she didn't like. She figured it was that 'innocent boy' type attitude he had about him. Was she supposed to stand around and trust him or something? Not to say that she was sure about everything that was going on right now.
It was cocky of her, the way that she had left. Heather had just walked out in the middle of the night carrying her things, the guitar case and the pack. She acknowledged her parents on her way out, saying that she was leaving. Nothing was said to the girl though. The two were too busy yelling or throwing things to pay attention to her, not that Heather wanted any of their attention. She remembered shaking her head as she walked out of the household, shutting the door quietly and jumping when she heard another plate smash.
So, maybe this kid knew where she wanted to go, or was trying to get to. The place where she could be better off than she was, and feel as if she belonged. It was what the girl had heard anyway, not knowing fully if it was true, but Heather had heard such stories of the Hideout from reliable sources, so why not believe them? After all, the people she heard tell of this place from were her friends.
So would she stick around? As these thoughts raced through Heather's head, she let go of Jay's hand, her electric blue eyes searching him.
