The forest was quiet, no sound at all apart from the soft fluttering of birds as they came and left their perches on the trees and it was just the way Abel wanted it. He'd been looking for the perfect spot to just sit and think for hours but had found it hard to find any peace and quiet..until he wandered into the forest of course. Being as lithe and light-weight as he was, Abel had found it easy to scale a tree and situate himself on one of the thicker branches, letting his legs dangle down while he propped his back up against the trunk and tilted his head back slightly. He was comfortable there. 'If only life could be like this everyday.' he found himself musing to himself. It wasn't as if he didn't like always being the center of people's attention though, he actually loved that, but it was just nice to take a break away from the rest of the world every now and then. Deep brown eyes gazed up at the clouds drifting overhead for a moment before the 18 year old sighed heavily. "Some company might've been a nice touch though." He said to himself softly before he bit his lip and went back to picking the bark off the branch he sat on.

Catching a glimpse of the forest her first day she decided to wander through it, big mistake. Her first day her and she was already lost. "My first day here and i'm lost in this stupid forest how pathetic i really am" she said outloud. She pushed through a part of the path that was grown over with bushes, one of the branches scratching her arm. "OWWW dammit stupid bushes! Stupid me for not taking my hoody. GOD i'm so lost" she screamed.
Finally giving up she sat down on a rock, listening to the birds whistle. She heard a rustle up in the trees and instectivally looked up. Hmm wow whatever animal is up in that tree is huge, hopefully it doesn't see me and won't attack me if it does. She thought to herself.

The sound of a voice caught Abel's attention immediately, thus provoking him to stop what he was doing and listen carefully. From what he could make out, which got easier as whoever it was got closer, he could tell that it was female but who, he didn't know, which meant they were either new or had somehow managed to avoid him every day. 'Well, that would be impressive,' he mused. 'as there's not many people here that I don't know or know of at least.' Pulling himself up from how he was sitting, he grabbed his hoodie from where it was draped across the branch and clambered down until he was balanced perfectly on one lower down where whoever it was could see him. Allowing his brown gaze to trail over her as she sat on a rock directly opposite him, he bit his snake bites and concluded that she had to have been new. "You're not lost sugar, you're just heading in the wrong direction." Abel informed her smartly with a grin, a soft lilt in his voice that was hard to place as he dusted off the back on his skinny jeans casually.

Looks up at the strange guy with her bright blue curious eyes, she bit on her lip stud surveying him. hmmm snake bites... gorgeous brown eyes....great balance. If all guys here are as good looking as him i think i could deal with staying her for awhile. She stood up and walked towards the trunk of the tree, and leaned against it. "First off don't ever call me sugar! I don't even know you and second off who in the world are you?" She looked up the tree trunk debating if she should even bother to climb it. Grabbing ahold of the lower branch she pulled herself up and sat on it, careful not to fall off. Looking sideways at this stranger she could see his profile. Hmm he seems to be very cocky... but oh so cute. Adelaide get ahold of yourself for all you know her could be a creep!

"First off don't ever call me sugar! I don't even know you and second off who in the world are you?"
At this Abel paused and stared at her before clicking his tongue and dropping down to the ground. "No need to snap. It's only a word." He told her passively, his warm demeanour now totally flipped as he came across rather indifferent to her presence. He never was one to take attitude from anyone and he wasn't about to start now. "As for who I am, as you so obviously stated yourself, I'm someone you don't know." Was Abel's next condescending answer as he turned to look at her again with a patronizing smirk. All the while he stepped backwards and leaned up against the tree he knew would be there, his hoodie held loosely in his hand by his side. He'd only just met this girl and already she had ticked him off; something easily done and not in the least bit surprising if she was going to use that tone with him.

Ok sorry i shouldn't have snapped but seriously sugar? How old are you 50? She looked down at him leaning against the tree with a little smirk on his face. She tossed her black and blue hair out of her face causing her to lose balence and fall backwards off the branch. She landed on her feet but wobbled and fell down on her ass. OWW ok so i need to get balance, anyways not the point. She stood up and brushed off her pants of the dirt and leaves. She walked towards him then stopped a few feet away from him. Anyways i'm Adelaide as you can guess i'm new here. So who are you or am i supposed to find that one out on my own?

"Ok sorry i shouldn't have snapped but seriously sugar? How old are you 50?"
"If I was 50 then I'd have called you sweetheart, or darling. If I was 50 I wouldn't look this good either." Abel retorted, his smirk widening when he knew he was right..for the first part at least. She wouldn't beat him in this conversation; he liked to win far too much. Upon seeing her fall back off the branch, he couldn't contain a snort of laughter as he gave her a 'well that was clever.' look. Of course, he'd have given her a helping hand up but she was already back up on her feet before he could step forwards to offer it. Watching her step towards him, he partially wondered what she was about to do, but ignored it when he next heard her speak.
"Anyways i'm Adelaide as you can guess i'm new here. So who are you or am i supposed to find that one out on my own?"
He shrugged without any commitment to it. "I could leave you to figure it out on your own, but you don't strike me as the kind of girl who holds patience or likes hard work, so I may as well spill." Abel smirked then. "The name's Abel, or Abe if you're a close friend." he added, giving her a mock bow when he'd finished.

She watched him with intrest as he patronized her and gave the little bow. Well aren't you the little gentleman? First you laugh at me when i fall off the branch, then you didn't even bother to help or ask if i was hurt and then you bow. Your a weird one Abel. She walked up to him and looked him up and down. First taking notice of his deep brown eyes, then his snake bites and the hoodie that was hanging loosely from his hand. She clicked her tongue stud against her teeth as she thought to herself: He seems so cocky but it's so cool and confident.

"I do try and, I'll have you know, I would've helped you up but you were already back on your feet before I could offer my assistance. As for asking if you're hurt; it wasn't a huge fall and I'm pretty sure you're a big enough girl to deal with a little pain." He answered smoothly, shrugging before he noticed that she was studying him and smirked. "See something you like, sugar?" Abel asked, completely disregarding her earlier request to cease use of the pet name as he tilted his head to the side and grinned again, once more biting his snake bites.

See something you like, sugar?
Blushes and turns away from him trying to regain her composure. So what if i do and what if i don't not liike it matters right? I would like it if you didn't call me sugar i don't normally let people give me pet names unless thier close to me. She turned back to face him with a questioning look on her face, as if she seriously expected an answer.

For a moment Abel simply looked at her, until he couldn't control the laugh that escaped him. Honestly, he didn't know what he found so amusing. Maybe it was the way she looked at him as if she expected him to take her seriously. Calming down mildly, he shook his head. "Nope, it doesn't matter in the slightest and ok then, Adelaide." he answered, pointedly using her name to prove a point as he grinned. Stretching his arms up above his head, simply to stretch out his back, it resulted in his t-shirt shifting upwards to reveal his toned abdomen and the top of his hips for the briefest of moments before they were covered again when he dropped his arms. "So, are you really always this fussy over names or is this just special treatment for me?" He asked then, leaning against the tree once more as he licked his lower lip.

I'm not so fussy over names you can call me Ade if you want of course. It's just sugar sounds weird comming from someone who is not as old as my grandfather. She couldn't help but fallow his movements with her eyes the slightest movement from him caught her attention. She caught sight of his abs and she couldn't help but wonder: How would he look with his top off... She caught herself thinking this and blushed a bit then grabbed for her bag which was slung around her shoulder, inside her bag was her smokes. Hope you don't mindshe said as she lit one up. But if you do i'll just move away from you

Abel laughed then ran his hand through his hair to ruffle it up slightly. "Well, I could always call you baby...or love...or maybe even lover." He teased for a moment before laughing again. Winding people up was a favourite hobby of his and he never tired of it. People's reactions were just too amusing.
"Hope you don't mind, But if you do i'll just move away from you."
"I don't mind, I smoke too. It's rather addictive actually." He answered absent-mindedly, thinking about how long it had been since he'd had a cigarette. In reality it was only a day or two, but to Abel it felt like longer. Suddenly curious as to where he'd left his lighter, he began feeling his pockets until he found it in the back ones.

"Well, I could always call you baby...or love...or maybe even lover."
As soon as Abel had said that Adelaide's mind started to wander again :Hmm to kiss those lips... feel his body close to mine. His laugh called her back from the back from her thoughts and caused her to focus on him. How deep brown his eyes were, the way his lips were shapped, the glint off his snake bites and the fall of his hair.
"I don't mind, I smoke too. It's rather addictive actually."
She took a long drag off her smoke and exhaled it, watching as he fumbled around for a lighter. Ya i've smoked since i was 14 i think.. I really can't remeber how long it has been. That's what you get when you don't give a shit about people let alone your own life. Her long black and blue hair started to fall into her face as she bent her head to light another smoke. Pushing it out of her face she looks upwards as her bright blue eyes narrowed on a bird up in the sky. As much as she would hate to admit it she loved being outdoors in nature where people weren't usually around and there was nothing to really worry about. She stuck out her tongue a bit and started to play with her tongue peircing with her teeth.

Abel watched her curiously as she lit another cigarette not even five minutes after her first one. Only then did he think about answering her statement. "That's not entirely true, babe. Some use it as a release from stress, some simply get addicted from trying it the first time. It's not always about rebelling against life and not caring about it." he answered smartly, taking his lime green lighter out of his pocket and playing with it.
