Heather Montgomery, a tall brunette with near waist length hair and piercing blue eyes made her way though a small wood, humming to herself as she went along. The girl wore a pair of brown boot cut pants made of what curiously looked like hemp, and a light green tank top. A simple beige bandanna was folded into a long strip and tied around her hair as a type of headband in order to keep her mass of hair out of her face for the most part. She walked slowly, enjoying the feeling of being outside and staring at the sky. The clouds reminded her of cotton. Those were her favorite clouds, the ones that looked like she could reach out and touch them. Or the ones that reminded her of cotton candy, only white. The girl smiled softly and brought her attention back to where she was walking. She really had no idea where she was, out of town was all she knew. She was away from the yelling and fighting, but didn't really know where to go. Sure, she was looking for a place called 'The Hideout', but she was failing miserably.
Heather switched her guitar case from her right hand to her left. The girl had most of her things nestled in next to the guitar, but the rest of what she needed was in the over the shoulder bag she was carrying with her. Monty was tired, but kept walking. She didn't sleep the previous evening, and had spent other evenings in the street and sleeping in some not-so-comfortable places. She would have to say that her favorite and most interesting sleeping place would have been the tube slide at the park. It was uncomfortable, but it kept her away from the rain that night.
The girl sighed, her permanent sarcastic smirk fading. She stopped suddenly, placing her guitar case down and taking the black plastic rimmed glasses that she needed for distance. Heather cleaned her glasses on her tank top, fiddled with her eyebrow ring, and then upon replacing the glasses, looked around. Where the hell was she? And when the hell would she find the place she was looking for? Suddenly, looking to her right, Monty spotted something she must have missed while she had her glasses off. It was an old beaten down path hidden by afew ferns. She thought back to what she heard about the Hideout, and suddenly that smirk of hers would reappear on her face. "Christ, I think this is it.." The girl muttered to herself. She picked up her guitar case, and with one last look around, she stepped onto the path. Heather began to hum a tune as she walked, but felt the sneaking suspicion of being followed. She brushed it off as paranoia and kept walking, glancing around every so often..She had been wrong before.

Abel sighed. It was typical that on a day like this, a lovely clear day with a few clouds in the sky and the sun making an appearance now and then, he would have to have nobody to play with. Typical that he would have to amuse himself and go wandering around in the woods again, climbing trees and scaring birds, by himself. It was almost like he was back at home; always the outcast being pushed out and ignored. Maybe the Hideout wasn't so different afterall. Deep brown eyes were cast back down to the tear he'd just found in the bottom of his t-shirt, a result of almost falling out a tree no less, and he bit his lip. It was his favourite t-shirt too; all black with a huge image of snoopy and woodstock on the front. However, after deciding it wasn't worth getting upset over, Abel simply decided to take it off which left him in only his vans and skinny blue jeans as an outfit. Well, it wasn't like anyone was around to pay attention to a half naked teen in the woods, right? Wrong. Pausing for a moment, he tilted his head to the side slightly and listened to the soft humming that seemed to be coming from a short distance away in the direction of the beaten path. 'But..why? Nobody really hangs out there..' he thought to himself, confused at this new turn of events. Still, having curiosity that rivalled a cat's, he made his way through the trees with the intent to find out who it was. After successfully finding his way to the path, he glanced around only to find a girl walking a way ahead of him. 'Funny..I don't think I've seen her before..and I'd certainly recognize that ass if I'd seen it.' He mused with a smirk, his naturally perverse nature shining through in his thoughts even if he never meant anything by it half the time. Following her for a moment, until he caught up to her, he suddenly appeared by her side out of seemingly nowhere and looked at her curiously. "Are you new here?" He asked innocently with a smile, watching her for her reactions and taking note of how the blue colour of her eyes were such a stunning shade.

Upon hearing the voice at her side, Heather stopped short, nearly dropping her guitar case. She had stopped humming and jumped at the fact that when she turned to her side, she was faced with a good looking boy, about her height, with rather interesting hair and an innocent smile. She slowly placed the guitar case on the forest floor and stared at the boy. Heather's heart was racing still, for he had scared her half to death. He was looking at her curiously, especially into her eyes. After finally catching her breath, and taking a step away from the boy she turned to him and said New? Well.. I suppose. Can't say I know exactly what I'm new to. By the way, you scared the hell out of me."
Heather wondered silently whether the boy would hurt her. The electric blue in her eyes held a touch of a worried look behind her glasses, though her signature smirk had never faded from her face. After looking him over slightly, she figured that the only weapon he would have would be his hands. It didn't look as if anything would fit into his pocket, and he didn't have a shirt on to hide anything he could possibly be tucked in the belt of his pants. Heather relaxed slightly, but didn't take her guard down. She wasn't too trusting to anyone, especially people who randomly showed up in the forest while she was searching for some untraceable place. Questions teamed the girl's mind though. For the first time, she returned a beautiful smile with her new company, and extended her right hand.
"Heather Montgomery. Call me Heath, Heather, Monty..Whatever you want I don't care." She shrugged, figuring being friendly wouldn't hurt. Sure, this was a really weird setup, but shit happens, so there was no point in being too worried. Before long, Heather spoke again, this time with confusion in her voice.
"..You couldn't tell me where I am, could you?" She looked at the boy over her glasses. If he had asked her whether she was new in this place, he must be familiar with it.

His smile grew a little wider when he saw how much he had scared her, but didn't allow himself to laugh. That would be cruel..and reserved for later if he did it again.
"New? Well.. I suppose. Can't say I know exactly what I'm new to. By the way, you scared the hell out of me."
"The Hideout of course." Abel answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I mean, you are in the area so I just figured you were a newbie or something since, well, I haven't seen you before. Yes, I do also know that I scared you; the look on your face was priceless and pretty much adorable." He stood and watched her evaluating him, checking if he was a potential threat, and sighed as he ran a hand through his hair to ruffle it up slightly. "I'm not into violence. I don't hurt people needlessly. Piss me off and I'll retaliate verbally. I'm really not going to hurt you, honestly, the most I'd do is annoy you with pointless conversation and my quick wit and sarcasm." He told her plainly, holding out his hands with his palms up to show innocence and openness. He didn't like people getting the wrong impression of him, or judging him, but it was only fair considering the kind of world they lived in. Crime, violence, gangs...it all added up to the paranoia of the general population in the end.
"Heather Montgomery. Call me Heath, Heather, Monty..Whatever you want I don't care."
The appearance of a beautiful smile caught his attention easily and it took him a moment before he responded with a rougish one of his own as he shook her hand. "Pleased to meet you, Heather. I'm Abel, or Abe if you'd rather." He answered, for one using his manners before he let go of her hand; somewhat conscious of holding it for too long.
"..You couldn't tell me where I am, could you?"
His grin returned swiftly as he swept his arm out towards the trees in a gesture to their surroundings. "You, my love, are currently on the path leading you towards the Hideout. I'm assuming that's the place you're looking for...most kids are these days." Abel answered, only then glancing down at her guitar case which confirmed his suspicions slightly.

Heather listened to this guy speak, and her smile widened. He had this wit about him. He was fun sounding, relaxed and laid back. He spoke to her as if her not knowing that she was near the hideout was unbelievable. A rush of excitement took Heather over, her smirk complimenting her sparkling eyes. Monty's smirk turned into a full blown grin as the boy went on, telling her he was glad he scared her, that her expression was..Adorable? Not used to slight compliments, Heather blushed slightly, and laughed lightly, relaxing a little more than she was afew moments ago. She was also glad to see him hold out his hands. He knew she was checking him for weapons, and his explanation was even better of an answer. Heather had always been used to violence in her life, so she could never be too careful. When he had finished speaking, Heather nodded and replied.
"Okok, I trust you're not going to hurt me!" She held her hands up as if being stuck up by the cops and stuck her tongue out playfully. "Besides, I'm up for pointless conversation anytime. The wit and sarcasm are just a bonus." The girl winked, and ran her right hand through her near waist length hair. The boy then introduced himself as Abel, and took her hand, shaking it. Heather noted that it took him an extra moment or so to let go, not that she was complaining. That sarcastic smirk faded for only a moment as Heather smiled softly. All too quickly, she recovered, her face returning to normal.
And then, Abel was answering her question. He gestured to where they were, telling her that she was on her way to the Hideout. When he finished speaking he had looked at her guitar case. Heather nodded after a moment and said "Well, I'm glad I'm on the right track..I found this path by accident really. And yes, I am looking for the hideout, so you're guess was right." She motioned toward her guitar, shrugging. "Most of my stuff is in there..Convienient space for storing things really..Honestly, There's hardly any room for my guitar." Heather laughed softly after she had spoken, looking at Abel over her glasses. He was a good looking guy. She took in his facial features, noting the piercings on his face. Heather only had one facial, an eyebrow ring. She found the snake bites attractive nonetheless, and his hair was interesting in itself. Monty looked alot more laid back compared to him at the time, in her hemp pants and tank top..Though Abel did look rather free being half naked. The thought caused her smirk to widen slightly as she stood there, taking in Abel's features, waiting for him to speak once more.

"Besides, I'm up for pointless conversation anytime. The wit and sarcasm are just a bonus."
"Ah, it's true but, while a bonus they may be, they're almost impossible to find being used in the correct manner." Abel responded lightly, nodding as if to confirm it to himself.
Well, I'm glad I'm on the right track..I found this path by accident really. And yes, I am looking for the hideout, so you're guess was right. Most of my stuff is in there..Convienient space for storing things really..Honestly, There's hardly any room for my guitar."
"Hmm, like I said, most teens are nowadays. It's a shame when they feel that it's the only place they can go to though." Abel said softly, somewhat lost in his memories before snapping back out of it and giving her an apologetic grin. Thinking back to her comment about the guitar case he laughed softly. "The most I brought with me was my clothes and my toothbrush. Obviously because toothbrushes are an essential thing to take wherever you go..unless it was to the mall or something, then you'd just look stupid. But that's a different matter entirely." It was then that he noticed her studying him and he grinned. Most of the people he'd met recently seemed to do that; he admitted that he was ok in terms of looks, but it was probably the snakebites that drew most in. "Have I caught your interest by any chance?" He asked innocently, wondering how she'd react to finding out he'd noticed her watching him.

Heather laughed along with Abel's comments. He was quick with his tongue, and had a lightening fast reply waiting for her almost as soon as she finished saying something. It made for a good, interesting and exciting conversation. Her smile faded slightly at his comment about the teens thinking the Hideout was the only place they could go nowadays. Heather had to agree to an extent. She thought vaguely back to the evening she left. It was rather defiant, and very sarcastic. Her parents were fighting, screaming at eachother, as usual. It was nothing new, but Heather was tired of being called a failure. It just wasn't fair, she had a tough life living in everyone's shadow. All in all, she was just sick of everything sucking. She had gotten out of bed, packed what she felt like, and left. Leaving through her front door, even having the nerve to bid goodbye to both her parents. Thus, they knew very well that she was missing and had run away, but they just didn't care.
Quickly though, the mood was lightened as Abel began to speak again. Heather couldn't help but smirk, and let her mind wander. Every time she repeated the name Abel in her mind, she always thought of the biblical twin of that name..Cain. Cain and Abel, brothers. She always forgot who had killed who, but that didn't matter. She laughed, but was cut short, and shocked by what she heard next.
"Have I caught your interest by any chance?"
Monty paused, her electric blue eyes wide with what seemed like shock for a moment. She didn't do a very good job at hiding her looks at Abel apparently. The girl turned a very deep shade of red, not believing herself.
"I'm sorry.." She began, laughing slightly. "I was..Well, to be quite honest, checking you out. Memorizing your face. Bad with names and faces you see.." Heather winked and finished speaking. She was suddenly very embarrassed, and her face showed. Though, she suspiciously felt that this would be the reaction Abel was hoping for. Oh well...What was done, was done.

Abel, whilst watching her reaction to his question, found he had developed a liking to the sound of Heather's laugh and also an addiction to her eyes. Not a strange occurance for the eighteen year old as he'd always had a fondness for watching people and their behaviour, but still. Some found it weird.
"I'm sorry..I was..Well, to be quite honest, checking you out. Memorizing your face. Bad with names and faces you see.."
Once again Abel laughed softly, delighted with her reactions. He really was a weirdo, but weird worked for him. "Bad with names and faces hm?" He pondered to himself for a moment before grinning as if he'd come up with a genius idea. "Well, make a connection. My name is Abel and as everyone knows I'm just so totally hot. So you think, 'who's that guy who's 'Abel' to please?' and then you'll think of me. Genius." He studied her face again with a grin and could help but notice the shade of red her cheeks had turned. Holding back the urge to touch them to see if they were actually warm, he laughed again. "You know, you're blush is really pretty. I might have to make you do that all the time just so I can look at it." Abel said with a nod, in a sense complimenting her and in another just being his random self. He really couldn't help it; he was born that way, honest.

Heather smiled through her blush, watching Abel watch her. He seemed to be rather taken up with her in a way, for his concentration was always on her eyes. As he laughed, Heather's eyes scanned the ground a moment, and she took her right hand around her shoulders to pull her massive amount of hair, -which was thankfully held back with her bandanna- over her shoulder. She ran her hand through the wild curls and out of habit, twisted one of the curls around her fingertip slowly before yanking her hand away so that the curl could spring back. By this time, Abel had apparently come up with a solution to the trouble she had matching names to faces. Through his little speech, Heather's face lit up, her eyes dancing. By the time he was done, she had burst out laughing. "Very smart!" The girl said through her laughter, taking the hand that was not playing with her hair and placing it on her stomach. "I don't think I'm ever going to mess you up with anyone else now, with that logic backing us up!"
"You know, you're blush is really pretty. I might have to make you do that all the time just so I can look at it." was what she heard next.
after she had regained her composure from laughing, Monty's eyebrows raised for a moment before she felt her cheeks grow warmer, knowing for a fact that her face had turned bright red against her fair skin. She was left speechless, not used to responding to compliments. Instead, Heather flashed Abel one her her beautiful smiles, the electric blue of her eyes meeting the dark brown of his. Her smile didn't fade, and the girl thought of the sound of his laugh, it was nice, made her smile. She realized finally that her cheeks were still very blush, and that if Abel was serious about his comment, he was going to have a field day. Heather had the feeling that she would have to be on her toes with this guy. He was unexpected, but hey, that's what made things fun.
